We plan to start building an astronomical observatory at Tay Nguyen University, Daklak Province, Vietnam.
The university has approximately 20000 students, among which 2000 students are in the Science and Technology Faculty. A constant flux of 200 students in Physics attend the courses here annually. The department have 2 astronomers: one is working in solar physics and one is working for a Master-Degree.
Mt. Chu Yang Sin, about 2.400m high, in Dak Lak province. Thanks to the high position (city is at about 540m above sea level and the mountain is higher than 1500 m), the long dry season from November to April, and the clear nightsky at many wide fields, Dak Lak province is a good place to build an optical observatory.
